Shift: Full Time- Days (rotating weekends)

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Transporter works in conjunction with the Director of Clinical Operations or designee to improve the patient and workflow via providing support, education and leadership to staff and customers. Supports the mission and vision of the Medical City Arlington. Provides transportation and other support as needed to meet the needs of the customers. 

• Responsible for having knowledge of the hospital Meditech system. 
• Getting and responding to customer needs in a timely manner. 
• Transport patients as requested by Nursing Administration or designee to and from the department, which includes outpatient, inpatient and emergency department procedures. 
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. 
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written. 
• Chart inpatient reports. 
• Keep the wheelchairs, stretchers, and portable oxygen setup in the department in a neat, clean and orderly manner.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Patient Transporter Experience preferred
