Plumbers, Pipefitters, & HVAC Tech Apprentice
All plumbers & pipefitter apprentices are paired with a Journeyman through their career. HVAC apprentices work by themselves for the service manager of our contractors.
- 5-year structured program - No previous knowledge required.
- Work during the day & learn from a journeyman.
- Hybrid Learning Structure (online, classroom, shop, & on-the-job).
- Minimum 210 classroom hours & 1700 on-the-job training hours.
- 4 crafts to choose from-Plumbing, Pipefitting, Pipe welding, HVACR
- VA GI Bill certified program-you can use your benefits to supplement your income while you train
Requirements
All application packets should be submitted in English.
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Provide all required items in the online application.
- Provide a driver's license and a 2nd form of ID. (Examples: Birth Certificate, SS card, US Citizen ID, US Passport)
- An OFFICIAL Transcript with the graduation date & grades (HS, Technical, Trade School, or 4-year college, OR official GED scores)
- Provide your military separation form, DD-214 (Veterans Only).
- $60.00 application fee, Application shall be filled out online at MTI-JATT.org.
- Maintain reliable transportation to all locations that are in the Local 72 jurisdiction at all times to participate in the program.
